  2. Bastards, in Queensland they could be sued in the civil court. What communication did the neighbour enter into with you? To stay on their property and cut vertical would have been sensible - to enter your property by a meter or so is trespassing thats for sure. To enter your property and create the damage they are surely liable for the damage caused. What foolish acts. I would have an inspection done and proceed in the civil court - pure vandalism in my book.

  3. Thinking about this Ray - Joh Bjelke Petersen did the very same thing here in Brisbane. Never told anyone - just got a third person to come in the night and demolish the historical buildings. Once its gone you only have the scars - the thing that amazes me is that property owner doesn't realise that those trees will grow back far more ferociously now - where that neighbour had a few branches over the boundry line (which you could have pruned correctly) they will now have multiple branches in the not too distant future. Once you have sued their arse off it will be interesting to see what eventuates down the track.
